National University of Modern Languages (NUML) was established
as National Institute of Modern Languages (NIML) in 1970 to help
people communicate and understand each other in different
languages, to assimilate different cultures and nations.
NUML got the charter of a fully autonomous
public sector university in 2000. It has crossed lots of
barriers and acting as a springboard for more than 10 emerging
disciplines including arts, social sciences and management
sciences in addition to 27 languages.
The Department of Economics, National University of Modern
Languages (NUML) was established in 2003. Its first program
(M.Sc. Economics) was launched in Fall 2003. The classes of
the pioneer batch of M.Sc. Economics started on 11th August 2003 and
27 students were enrolled.
Located on the South of the beautiful
capital of Pakistan, Islamabad, in the backdrop of beautiful
Margalla Hills. It is spread over an area of 25 acres. It can
accommodate over 10,000 students for on campus education.
